Superintendent’s investigation: Stratford schools charged $70,000

STRATFORD, CT — Lawyers have billed the Stratford School District at least $70,000 for costs related to the months-long investigation into suspended Superintendent Uyi Osunde, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports that the costs, which do not include bills for the final phases of the investigation in May and June, include lawyers reviewing Osunde’s travel logs and unread emails, analyzing the exact times he entered county buildings, interviewing headquarters staff and more.

The Education Committee recently voted along party lines to take the first step toward terminating Osunde’s contract. According to the Post, he will have the opportunity to attend a formal hearing before the committee.
