Joe Biden visits Waffle House in Atlanta with wife after debate

Regardless of his debate performance, Biden ended the night by heading to Georgia’s most recognizable breakfast restaurant.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — It’s almost impossible to take a trip to Georgia without visiting one of the Peach State’s most famous restaurants: Waffle House.

That’s where President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden stopped after Thursday night’s widely watched presidential debate with former President Donald Trump. The couple stopped at 2758 Cobb Parkway SE in Cobb County for a late dinner.

11Alive was at the Waffle House and spotted the motorcade heading down Cobb Parkway, just across from The Battery near Highways 75 and 285.

Both Bidens were seen entering Waffle House with a crowd of people near the restaurant’s entrance.

The visit comes just after Biden raised questions about his ability to serve another term after his faltering speech in a face-off with Trump in the first presidential debate of the year between two aging candidates in what is expected to be a closely contested presidential election in November.

During the 90-minute event, the candidates addressed a range of topics, including abortion and immigration.

But still, regardless of his performance, Biden ended the evening by heading to Georgia’s most recognizable breakfast restaurant.

Whether it was smothered and covered hash browns or an All-Star Special, before they left, one of his Secret Service agents was seen carrying a takeout bag full of food to the motorcade .
