Sixth Street in Columbia closed as police and SWAT team entered a residential building

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

Columbia police cordoned off a section of Sixth Street near the 800 block Thursday evening.

The police were in front of a building that looked like a duplex. One of the building’s entrance doors had apparently been removed.

SWAT team members were on scene and entered the home with riot shields. Some members exited the home but did not appear to have arrested anyone.

At least four police vehicles were on site, including a Lenco BearCat.
