MPD’s “Operation Cleaning the Corridor” results in 22 arrests

MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) – A three-month operation concluded Wednesday, June 26, 2024, with the execution of search warrants by the SWAT team, canine unit, tactical intelligence and drug and vice squad.

Seizures included crack cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, illegal prescription drugs and two firearms. Drug and vice squad also conducted a brief search of the Highway 90 area for prostitution offenses. As a result, two women were arrested for prostitution.

Operation Cleaning The Corridor was launched following numerous complaints from residents living in the Highway 90 area, which spans several neighborhoods bordering this community.
