2 people arrested after hit-and-run that killed Gastonia college student – ​​WSOC TV

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Two men have been charged in the April 13 hit-and-run in Greensboro that left Xiomara Moore, a college student who grew up in Gastonia, dead, police announced Thursday.

The driver, 22-year-old Darion Tyric Valentine, was charged with hit-and-run resulting in death, illegal possession of a stolen vehicle, careless and reckless driving, speeding, driving without a license, running a red light, possession of false license plates and possession of marijuana.

The passenger, 23-year-old Dasyne’ Akiese Hairston, was charged with hit-and-run causing death as a passenger, possession of a stolen vehicle and minor possession of marijuana.

Officers arrested Hairston and Valentine on June 17 in Myrtle Beach, police said. They are expected to be extradited to Greensboro.
