Man from Leighton dies after collision with car

COLBERT COUNTY, Alabama (WHNT) – Officials have confirmed that a Leighton man died after being struck by a car in Colbert County on Thursday.

Colbert County Coroner Justin Gasque said 34-year-old Timothy Wood Jr. of Leighton was killed when he was struck by a vehicle.

The incident occurred on 2nd Street, an offshoot of River Road south of the Tennessee River near Highway 157.
