Forest Preserve Police Investigate Sexual Assault in Oak Forest

Police from the Forest Preserves of Cook County are investigating a sexual assault reported Monday after a woman accepted a ride in Oak Forest.

According to police, a man between the ages of 45 and 55 attacked the woman he had offered a ride in his white SUV around 6 p.m. on Monday.

The 51-year-old woman was waiting at the bus stop on the corner of 159th Street and Cicero Avenue when she accepted the ride. According to police, the man turned onto a side street off Cicero Avenue on the edge of Midlothian Meadows and sexually assaulted the woman.

Police said they have increased patrol activity in Midlothian Meadows and the surrounding area. Anyone with information is asked to call 708-771-1001.
