FBI seeks person in child sexual abuse investigation | The Hawk Eye – Burlingt, Iowa

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking the public for assistance in obtaining identifying information on an unidentified man who may have important information regarding the identity of a minor victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.

According to a press release issued Wednesday by the FBI’s Omaha field office, photos and an informational poster featuring the image of the unknown person known only as John Doe 48 were released.

The first video of the unidentified man, John Doe 48, was first captured by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in December 2023.

The EXIF ​​data embedded in the video file showed that the file was created in October 2023.

John Doe 48 is described as a white male between the ages of 45 and 65 with dark hair and a gray beard.

He has a tattoo on each forearm.

He can be seen on the back of a 2018-19 Nissan NV van wearing a blue T-shirt and a dark-colored cap.

The public is reminded that no charges have been filed in this case and the person depicted is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

This individual is wanted under the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program (ECAP) initiatives.

Operation Rescue Me is about using clues obtained through detailed image analysis to identify child victims depicted in child exploitation material, while ECAP seeks to gain national and international media exposure for unknown adults (referred to as “John/Jane Does”) whose faces and/or other identifying features are visible in connection with child pornography images.
