Second suspect arrested in Waterbury teen’s murder – NBC Connecticut

Waterbury police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old man in Waterbury in May.

Officers found the victim, 19-year-old Lashawn Nance of Waterbury, when they responded to Wood Street around 9:49 a.m. on Monday, May 6.

He was taken to a hospital where he later died of his injuries, according to police.

Police said they obtained an arrest warrant for 22-year-old Demetrius White of Waterbury on Wednesday and took him into custody in Meriden.

He is charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, illegal possession of weapons and weapons in a motor vehicle.

White was held on $3 million bail.

Yeanier Osorio-Medina, 18, of Waterbury, was taken into custody on May 28 and charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, illegal possession of a weapon, illegal use of a firearm, illegal carrying of a pistol and illegal discharge of a firearm.

According to online court records, he is being held on $4 million bail.

Police said they did not expect any further arrests.
