Name of homeless man found dead near Windsor Spring Road announced

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen on Thursday released the name of a homeless man who was found dead several days earlier.

Christopher Sellers, 51, was found dead in the woods near Windsor Spring Road on June 14.

The case is being investigated as a suspicious death.

Authorities said the body was found after they were called to the Interstate 520 eastbound ramp at Windsor Spring Road to investigate a report of a deceased person.

According to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen, the man was pronounced dead at the scene around 5 p.m. on June 14.

According to authorities, the death is considered suspicious.

The suspicious death occurred in the midst of a An outbreak of violent crime lasting more than two years, which has claimed more than 150 lives throughout the CSRA.
