Foley Police Department offers physical training for aspiring law enforcement officers

FOLEY, Alabama (WKRG) — Want to be a police officer? Aspiring police officers can test their physical abilities with the Foley Police Department’s Cardio with a Cop training program.

According to a Facebook post, “Cardio with a Cop” is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, and last for several weeks.

The program, the article said, is designed to help police officers prepare for the physical fitness test required for employment with the police force.

Strength and cardiovascular exercises will be part of the program.

“Here at the Foley Police Department, we want to give those interested the best chance of success,” the post said.

“We believe this program will not only prepare you for your new role, but will also give you the opportunity to meet some of our employees before joining our team.”
