Crowley man arrested and charged with 15 counts of child pornography

CROWLEY, Louisiana (KLFY) — A Crowley man was arrested Wednesday in connection with possession of child pornography, authorities said.

Shannon Robert Primeaux, 42, of Crowley, is charged with 15 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 in Acadia Parish.

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation by the Louisiana Attorney General’s Cyber ​​Crime Unit, the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations, officials said. Agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation initially received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Primeaux was remanded to the Acadia Parish Jail on $50,000 bail.

The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
