3 people arrested after fatal shooting in Stockton

Stockton police said there was an armed robbery in which suspects attacked two men in a parking lot and demanded their belongings.

STOCKTON, Calif. – Three people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Stockton in early June.

Stockton police said in an update Wednesday that there were three arrests during the month in connection with a fatal shooting on June 6.

Shortly before midnight on June 6, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of West Charter Way.

Stockton police said it was an armed robbery in which the suspects confronted two men in a parking lot and demanded their belongings. One of the men, a 45-year-old, refused and was shot. He was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. ABC10 has contacted the San Joaquin County Coroner to determine the man’s identity.

The second man, a 28-year-old, was not injured.

On June 11, police arrested Herbert Comeaux. The 50-year-old was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of murder.

On June 12, police arrested Karlotta Rasberry. The 39-year-old was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of murder and other charges.

On June 23, a 17-year-old was arrested by Antioch police. He was booked into the juvenile hall on suspicion of murder and other charges. Because he is a minor, his name and photo were not released.

The shooting is still under investigation.
