Recall Alert: Toyota Crown – Kelley Blue Book

Toyota has recalled 13,077 2023 model year Crown sedans because their front and rear cameras may fail.

Toyota tells government safety authorities that inadequate welding of camera housings can allow water to penetrate the electronics and cause a short circuit. Toyota estimates that only 1% of cars could be affected by this problem.

However, to find them, dealers must check all of them. Technicians fix the problem by checking both cameras and replacing them if necessary.

By law, dealers do not charge fees for repairs as part of a recall.

Automakers recall many cars during their lifetime, often more than once. Automakers try to contact every owner, but don’t always reach everyone. Find out if your car has a pending recall using the simple VIN tool in our Recall Center.
