These inspiring real estate agents who make up H-Town’s largest independent, Black-owned brokerage firm told BOSSIP they are excited to showcase their booming real estate market in the metro area while giving viewers an inside look at their family.

The first season will feature them dealing with skeletons in the closet, including a separation, complications related to Oscarene’s plan to pass on the family wealth, single motherhood and much more. Despite the drama, the group still manages to find a way to make amends.

Nicole in particular said she felt a whirlwind of emotions, but was excited to work with her grandmother Oscarene and see their moments captured on camera.

“Honestly, I always tell people that I feel everything,” she told BOSSIP. “I’m excited, nervous, anxious, happy. You know, but I will say this, the one thing that I really, really love is that if I have to continue working, it’s with my family and even more so with my grandmother. You know, she’s 87 years old, so I mean, who else gets the chance to work with their grandmother and see that captured on film? »

Jermeshia echoed this sentiment.

“I am delighted, I will say, I went through a sea of emotions,” said the broker and real estate agent. “So at one point I’m like, I’m like, oh my God, my life is, my life as I know it, the problem is I know it will be gone, so of course it concerns me, but I know what I signed up for I’m super excited I think our family has an amazing history and we kind of treat everyone like they’re cousins so I feel like I. I’m just going to have a lot more cousins that I’m going to know! It’s going to be an interesting opportunity and I can do it with my sister-cousins, I can do it with my family.

“Oh man, when I tell you it’s definitely an experience that you really have to adjust to because being sisters and cousins, there are times where I just want to say ‘I know you didn’t do it!’ but then I have to respect them as my boss per se,” JaQuita added of working with family “So it’s definitely an experience. It’s a big adjustment for all of us, because we try not to mix family and business, we try to keep them as two separate entities, but a lot of times we end up mixing it. good work. So we are still learning and trying to understand.

Speaking about the ladies’ husbands and families, Jermeshia also explained Family Empire: Houston brood in BOSSIP.

“When they say it takes a village, it takes a village,” Jermeshia said. “You are going to meet our mothers, our aunt; we have the “cousin sisters”, but we also have our aunt DeAngela, who is part of the “G one and a half” and she is like my big sister because we are only nine years apart. I’m the oldest grandchild, so we’re nine years apart. So she’s our aunt, but she feels like our big sister and she also works at the brokerage. You will have the chance to meet her and she is courageous. You will meet my cousin, Lakeshia, she is Nicole’s sister, she is also a real estate agent with the brokerage. You meet our grandmother who is the matriarch and our husbands. My husband is also a real estate agent with the brokerage. So we work together very closely. These lines are blurry, okay? But it makes it fun and I wouldn’t choose to do it any other way.
