Accident involving semi-trailer on Savannah Highway causes delays

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – Charleston Police are on the scene of a crash that left several people hospitalized.

In a post to X, police said they are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Savannah Highway near Main Road. They confirmed that a semi-truck was involved in the crash.

Several people were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

They say one lane is open, but delays are to be expected when traveling through the area.
