WEATHER WARNING: Increased risk of severe thunderstorms for Eastern Montana | Local weather in Montana

Our Thursday forecast calls for daytime highs between 15 and 21 degrees farther west and lows between -1 and 5 degrees. Farther east, daytime highs will be between 25 and 30 degrees, with lows between 4 and 10 degrees. Thunderstorms will move east of the Continental Divide this morning and intensify throughout the day. The strongest storms will develop around noon to 10 p.m. across most of northeast Montana. Numerous severe thunderstorms are possible, with the main impacts being large hail, erratic winds, lightning and locally heavy rain. Friday will be cooler, drier and windier before another warming trend sets in this weekend.
