4-year-old girl drowns in Cordova, police say

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – Police are investigating after a child drowned in Cordova early Thursday morning.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of North Germantown Parkway. A four-year-old girl had fallen into a swimming pool.

She was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

According to MPD, this is an ongoing investigation.
