Paris Hilton claims she was sexually abused in a youth hostel | Culture

Paris Hilton testified before a committee of the US House of Representatives on Wednesday (June 26) that as a teenager she was “forced to medicate” and “sexually abused” by staff at a residential facility for young people.

During her appearance on Capitol Hill, she called for comprehensive reforms of the system.

Ms Hilton said: “I am here to be the voice of the children whose voices cannot be heard.”

Hilton has previously identified Utah’s Provo Canyon School, a residential youth facility, as one of the places where she faced abuse. The school has faced multiple lawsuits, threats to its licenses and reports of abuse by several students.The Salt Lake Tribune reported.

The school said it could not immediately comment on Hilton’s allegations because it had since changed management.
