Missing adult found dead | Western Colorado

An adult man who was reported missing on Monday was found dead on Wednesday.

At around 7:50 a.m. Wednesday morning, officers with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a dead man near the 700 block of Soaring Eagle Drive.

When they arrived, officers found the dead man and identified him as 52-year-old Michael Tollis, who was reported missing Monday from his residence near the 400 block of Sandia Drive in Redlands.

According to a press release Monday, Tollis suffered from short-term memory loss and was unfamiliar with the area.

Tollis’ death is not considered suspicious at this time and further information will be provided by the Mesa County Coroner’s Office pending an autopsy.
