Fayetteville Police Chief Bradley Renfro arrested for drunk driving

The press release states that Arkansas State Police stopped a 2012 RAM truck for a defective headlight at around 10:41 p.m.

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – According to the City of Fayetteville, an assistant police chief was arrested on Wednesday, June 26, for drunken driving.

The press release states that at approximately 10:41 p.m., Arkansas State Police (ASP) stopped a 2012 RAM truck at the corner of Wedington Drive and Fieldstone Avenue due to a defective headlight.

The driver of the RAM was Bradley Renfro, assistant chief of police for the Fayetteville Police Department. Officials said Renfro refused to “submit to a chemical test” and was arrested. He was placed on administrative leave after the arrest.

Officials said ASP is currently conducting an internal investigation. Further details have not been released.

According to the arrest report, he was released at 3:58 a.m. and has a court date set for Friday, June 28 at 7:45 a.m.
