Woman sexually harassed by man waiting for bus

A runner was sexually assaulted by a man as she passed him at a bus stop, police said.

The 27-year-old was walking near Montpellier Gardens in Cheltenham on June 10 when a man waiting for the 94X bus punched her on the bottom at around 7pm (CEST).

The man was described as white, under 30, with short, spiky mouse-brown hair. When the woman confronted him, “he laughed, apologized and then boarded the 94X bus to Gloucester,” police said.

Gloucestershire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the incident.

The man is said to have been wearing a red Adidas zip-up jacket and speaking with an Irish accent.
