A teenager shot earlier this month has been identified by the Sacramento County coroner’s office. Elijah Wallace, 17, of Rancho Cordova, was killed in a shooting along Marin Avenue near 77th Street on June 15. The Folsom Cordova Unified School District told KCRA 3 on Wednesday that Wallace was enrolled at Cordova High School for the upcoming school year and had played football for the school in the past. Sacramento police said Wednesday that detectives are still investigating the shooting and are working to identify suspects and a motive. SACRAMENTO, California —

A teenager who was shot earlier this month has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Elijah Wallace, 17, of Rancho Cordova, was killed in a shooting along Marin Avenue near 77th Street on June 15.

The Folsom Cordova Unified School District told KCRA 3 on Wednesday that Wallace is enrolled at Cordova High School for the upcoming school year and has played football for the school in the past.
