2 teenagers arrested in connection with fatal shooting in north Sacramento

Two teenagers were arrested Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting and robbery in north Sacramento over the weekend, police said. A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on robbery and murder charges, officials said. On Sunday, officers responded to Arden Way near Del Paso Boulevard around 2 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Officers said a man was shot and died from his injuries. He was identified as 51-year-old Charles Blanks. Police said as the investigation progressed, investigators found reason to believe a robbery was taking place at the time of the shooting. A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old boy were arrested for robbery and murder, officials said.

On Sunday, officers responded to reports of a shooting on Arden Way near Del Paso Boulevard around 2 p.m.

Officials said a man was shot and died of his injuries. He was identified as 51-year-old Charles Blanks.

Police said that during the course of the investigation, investigators found reason to believe that a robbery was taking place at the time of the shooting.
