New York sneaker retailer “Upscale Cracc” shot dead in SoHo robbery

According to several news reports, a man was attacked and then shot by a group of men in SoHo on Wednesday morning.

Javier Osorio-Mejia, known in the sneaker resale world as “Upscale Cracc,” was killed this morning in an apparent robbery near the corner of Grand and Greene Streets. According to the NYPD, the Bayonne resident was walking through the area from Queens at around 5:30 a.m. when he was targeted by his attackers and shot during the robbery.

Osorio-Mejia was shot in the leg, but the wound was fatal and he died.

Very few details are available about the fatal shooting, but police are actively searching for the person responsible for Osorio-Mejia’s murder.
