Panic broke out at a casino in Singapore after a man suffered a heart attack while celebrating his £3.2 million (Rs 33,764,5600) jackpot. According to news.com.au, the incident occurred on June 22 at the Marina Bay Sands Casino in Singapore. The unnamed man, a regular visitor to the casino, was overjoyed after winning the life-changing amount. While celebrating and punching the air in joy, he suddenly fell to the ground and suffered a cardiac arrest.

As he collapsed, horrified passers-by gathered around him as staff rushed to his aid. A woman accompanying the man became increasingly worried and could be heard pleading with staff as they attempted to give him medical attention. He was rushed to hospital where he is recovering from cardiac arrest.

Meanwhile, numerous reports on social media suggested that the man had died. However, industry insiders said the man was alive and still recovering in hospital.

A spokesperson for the casino condemned the hoaxes and stressed how much they had hurt the man’s family. “Unfortunately, the hoaxes have spread and the video that is still circulating on the internet is causing some distress to the guest’s family,” he said. Some sources also disputed the amount the player had won, but there is no official clarification on this yet.

The casino is owned and operated by Las Vegas Sands, a Nevada-based company that had sales of $10.4 billion last year.

In a similar incident in 2021, a man in Michigan in the US was found washed up dead on a beach with the winning ticket in his pocket. A similar unfortunate incident occurred in the US in April when a man suffered cardiac arrest at a blackjack table in Las Vegas.
