Two people arrested in connection with a break-in at a house in Manchester, police said

Two men were arrested in connection with a burglary at a Manchester home in May, police said. Manchester police said a woman told police an armed man broke into her Lake Avenue home while she was inside. The man broke down the door with a sledgehammer, went inside and demanded money, police said. MANCHESTER, N.H. —

Police say two men have been arrested in connection with a burglary at a home in Manchester in May.

Manchester police said a woman told police an armed man broke into her home on Lake Avenue while she was inside.

The man broke down the door with a sledgehammer, went inside and demanded money, police said. The woman and her child ran out the back door as the man walked toward a bedroom, police said.

The suspect was seen coming out the door with a box, police said.

According to police, a vehicle was seen driving around the area at the time of the break-in.

Marvin Edwards, 60, and John Barger, 48, of Manchester. Barger was charged with burglary and criminal damage. Edwards was charged with burglary (accomplice) and criminal damage, police said.
