Paula Doyle said her family life had been severely affected by the attack

Paula Doyle still vividly remembers the trauma of learning that her rapist would read her counseling notes before his trial.

“I felt sick. This person had physically attacked me, raped me, penetrated my body and then left me lying in a hedge like I was a piece of trash – and now he could read personal, private, intimate thoughts, things that had happened to my family,” Ms Doyle said.
