Man charged with drug trafficking after months-long investigation, Rocky Mount police say

ROCKY MOUNT, NC (WNCN) — After a months-long drug trafficking investigation, an arrest has been made, Rocky Mount police said Wednesday evening.

Officers said they arrested 41-year-old Kelsey Bynum earlier in the day in the 700 block of West Haven Boulevard.

When Bynum was arrested, investigators said he was found in possession of 46.75 grams of crack cocaine, 27.35 grams of marijuana, 4.35 grams of powder cocaine, and $7,755.00.

Police said they also found 10.45 grams of marijuana in the house after executing a search warrant.

Bynum was charged with:

  • Two cases of cocaine trafficking
  • Possession of cocaine with intent to sell and supply
  • Possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Easy ownership of the schedule

He was given a $500,000 secured bond and taken to the Nash County Detention Center.
