U.S. Army Choir of Soldiers Arrives in Buffalo

The members arrived by bus Wednesday morning, ahead of their free performance this weekend at the Flickinger Performing Arts Center at the Nichols School.

“The Falling and The Rising” features a series of interviews with wounded warriors, active duty military members and veterans.

“The aspiration behind the project is to bridge the gap between civilians and military,” Ben Hilgert, master sergeant at Fort Meade, Maryland, told 2 On Your Side. “So we took our team of civilian artists and we introduced them to the soldiers, and we kind of explored the concepts and themes of service, of sacrifice, of family. What is a soldier wants a civilian to know about his service?”

This show is free and is scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m.
