Young Cuban woman identified in fatal motorcycle accident in Havana

Cuban Social media users have identified the young woman who tragically died on Tuesday morning in HavanaShe lost her life when the electric motorcycle she was riding collided with a Yutong Bus at the intersection of Boyeros and Tulipán, in front of the Ministry of Transport.

The deceased, called Anaisalived in Párraga, a neighborhood in the municipality of Arroyo Naranjo. According to online reports, her partner, who was driving the motorcycle, is called Eduardo and is currently out of danger.

Many people have posted online condolences for the tragic loss of the woman, who was the mother of a daughter. “My love, why is life so unfair? You were a great person and everyone who knew you knows what I mean. I have a lump in my throat. I was always proud to have a good friend and colleague like you. I am so, so sorry. Rest in peace, Anaisa,” Claudia Samón wrote on Facebook.

“Rest in peace, Anaisa. You were my nurse when I was pregnant and you were a great person, very kind and a good friend to my sister Anisley Pérez, who is now suffering your loss with great pain in her soul. May God give you the best place he has and may your husband get well soon,” wished Facebook user Ľâ Bbšîťâ Måřbė.

Witnesses to the accident stated that the young woman was practically thrown under the bus and died instantly, while her husband suffered serious injuries. Several Internet users claimed that the bus came from Cienfuegos.

The cause of the accident is currently unknown, but some suspect that the motorcycle tried to overtake the bus and the bus driver could not prevent the collision.
