Tulsa man arrested and charged with possession of child pornography | News

TULSA, Oklahoma – A Tulsa man was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.

Zachary Michael Johnson was booked into the Tulsa County Jail Wednesday morning on two counts of possession of child pornography.

According to an affidavit, the file hosting service DropBox was made aware in February 2023 that child pornography had been uploaded to its servers. DropBox reported this to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

A search warrant for the DropBox account yielded 944 files identified as child pornography. Additional search warrants for emails and an IP address showed the account belonged to Zachary Johnson.

In October, Tulsa police stopped and questioned Johnson near 41st and 129th streets. Johnson admitted to searching for and receiving child pornography through platforms such as DropBox and Kik.

Police found 16 files containing child pornography on another DropBox account linked to Johnson. The affidavit states that Johnson admitted to using multiple email addresses and accounts.

An arrest warrant was issued on Monday. Johnson is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. His bail is set at a total of $50,000.
