Police say a woman was found dead outdoors on Chicago’s South Side

CHICAGO (CBS) — A woman was found dead in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood early Wednesday morning, police said.

According to preliminary information, the woman was found unconscious outside in the 6900 block of South Wabash Avenue shortly after 8 a.m.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide.

No one is in custody.
