MANHATTAN, NY (PIX11) — A teenager is accused of shooting two men and wounding another outside a Manhattan tobacco shop on Sunday, according to the NYPD.

The 16-year-old boy allegedly shot the victims around 11:40 p.m. in front of the Blue Sky tobacco store near West 207th Street and 10th Avenue, police said.

Michael James, 44, was shot in the face, and Alejandro Ramirez, 45, was shot in the chest. They were taken to local hospitals and pronounced dead, according to the NYPD. The men were not the intended targets.

A group, including the intended target, was outside the tobacco shop when the teenager and three others walked by, police said. A verbal exchange ensued before the suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire, authorities said. The teenager was caught on video shooting at the group from down the block.

James and Ramirez were caught in the crossfire, and the third victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

The teenager was arrested for murder.
