Naugatuck police seek man for sexual assault

Naugatuck police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man accused of sexually abusing a nine-year-old child.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man accused of sexually abusing a nine-year-old child, the department said.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, police said they had obtained an arrest warrant for Jamel Young, charging him with endangering a minor, first-degree sexual assault, attempted first-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree sexual assault.

According to police, the arrest warrant carries a court-set bail of $750,000.
