KCPD asks for help identifying victim killed in church parking lot

KCPD is asking the public for help in identifying a teenager found shot to death in a church parking lot on Bannister Road in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday, June 24, 2024.

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The Kansas City Police Department Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s help in identifying a juvenile victim who was found dead of gunshot wounds Monday in the parking lot of a church at 9910 Bannister Road.

According to KCPD, the victim appears to be a black male between the ages of 14 and 17. His hair is naturally cut, about 1 inch long, and tapered at the sides.


He is said to have a visible scar above his left eye, a vertical scar down the middle of the back of his left hand, and a circular scar on his left hip.

According to police, he has no tattoos or piercings, but he wears braces with black rubber bands and Adidas Yeezy 700 MNVN in the color “Bone”.
