Dobbs Ferry man arrested after motorcycle chase – caught with psychedelic mushrooms

A Dobbs Ferry man is in custody after leading police on a motorcycle chase and was found in possession of a large quantity of psychoactive mushrooms, authorities said.

On Monday, a Sloatsburg police officer observed a 41-year-old man riding a motorcycle with an obscured license plate on Route 17, police said. After attempting to stop the man, he fled on the motorcycle.

The officer found the man on Juniper Terrace, where he was behaving erratically and attempting to flee, police said. The officer deployed a Taser and arrested the man.

When the man was searched, a large quantity of psychoactive mushrooms were found, police said.

He faces several charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

The man’s identity has not yet been disclosed.
