Lackawanna man charged after SWAT operation on Tuesday

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) — A Lackawanna man is facing multiple charges following a SWAT operation on W. Highland Parkway Tuesday evening, Hamburg police said.

Police responded to the residence because of a suspected incident involving an assault and a possible threat with a firearm.

Police entered the home to execute a search warrant, evacuated all unaffected persons, and cleared the home before taking 48-year-old Jason Connolly into custody.

He is charged with second-degree threatening, third-degree assault and second-degree harassment. He was held in Hamburg City Court awaiting arraignment.
