Man with stolen gun and drugs arrested Tuesday in Turtle Bay East Park | News

REDDING, California. – Police arrested a man on charges of possession of a stolen gun and drugs at Turtle Bay East Park on Tuesday.

On Tuesday around 11:40 p.m., Redding police officers conducted additional patrol at Turtle East Bay Park.

Officers located a car in the area after hours, police said. Officers contacted the two people in the car when they saw drug paraphernalia in sight.

The people in the car were identified as 31-year-old Patrick Eidhammer and 41-year-old Wendy White, police said. Both were taken out of the car and arrested.

Officers searched the car and found a loaded Ruger MK II .22 caliber pistol under the seat where Eidhammer was sitting, police said.

The investigation led to officers with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office discovering that the gun had been reported stolen in a 2019 burglary, police said.

Eidhammer was booked into the Shasta County Jail as follows:

  • Because owning a firearm and ammunition is prohibited
  • Possession of a stolen firearm
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

White was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released.
