Hong Kong’s Greater Bay Airlines will suspend flights to Singapore next month, announcing the cuts just two weeks after launching the service.

The airline announced on Thursday that it would suspend the service from June 1 for commercial reasons and after assessing recent market conditions.

“To minimize the potential impact on passengers, we will contact our passengers directly to arrange rebookings, rebookings or refunds and all associated fees will be waived,” it said.

The airline announced in February that it would launch a new route to the city-state from April 26, with one flight per day.

Passengers could still book a flight ticket on the company’s website in May for around HK$640 to HK$960 per trip (excluding taxes). However, as of June, tariffs were no longer available.
