Man shot outside gas station in northwest Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man was hospitalized after an overnight shooting outside a gas station in northwest Atlanta.

Police said the victim was hanging out in front of the Exxon gas station on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday evening when two men approached and one of them began shooting in his direction.

The victim was shot in the stomach and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. According to the police, he is between 20 and 30 years old.

There is no word on suspects at this time. Police say they are working to find out if the victim was targeted.
