Ventnor Park cordoned off by police after incident

Following an incident, police on the Isle of Wight have cordoned off Ventnor Park.

Officials cordoned off the entire park this morning (Wednesday) and also cordoned off the center of the park, a well-known local attraction, on Park Avenue.

The tea gardens and the putting green, called “Tee in the Park,” are not affected by the closure and will remain open as usual today.

The police are on site and guarding the area.

The County Press was told that officers had been on the scene since at least 5:30 a.m.
