Atlanta Braves News: Brian Anderson on IL, Orlando Arcia results, more

The Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday that outfielder Brian Anderson is headed to the 10-day injured list with a bacterial infection. This decision is backdated to June 22. To take his place on the roster, the club recalled utilityman Luke Williams.

Anderson joined the Braves earlier this month and has since appeared in three games. He had five at-bats and struck out two of them. He logged one run at third base and 13 in right field for Atlanta.

Williams, for his part, played eight games and even spent one inning on the mound. He spent the majority of his playing time this year at third base while Austin Riley was out due to injury.
