Millionaire real estate agent takes leave from his company due to gang rape lawsuit

One of three millionaire real estate broker brothers accused of sexual harassment has temporarily resigned from the multi-billion dollar brokerage firm he co-owns to “clear his name” after a new lawsuit accuses him of raping a woman.

“Given the offensive nature of this false allegation and its impact on OFFICIAL, Tal and his partners have decided that he will take a leave of absence from the company to focus fully on clearing his name,” one of Tal Alexander’s attorneys, Deanna Paul, said in a statement to The Daily Beast on Tuesday.

The statement added that Alexander was “eager to have the case heard in federal court as soon as possible and that he would be able to rejoin the OFFICIAL team shortly.”

Tal Alexander and his twin brothers Oren and Alon are heirs to a real estate dynasty run by their father. Tal and Oren later founded Official, a huge real estate company known for making huge deals, while Alon works as an executive at a private security company.

Official is known for selling some of the most expensive properties in the country.

But Oren and Alon are currently facing countless lawsuits from women who accuse them of sexual harassment at the same time. The lawyers handling these lawsuits claim that 30 other plaintiffs have now come forward with similar allegations.

A new lawsuit filed on June 18 by a woman named Angelica Parker was the first to name all three brothers and the first to make allegations against Tal, alleging that Alon and Tal were involved in a “group sex abuse” organized by Oren in 2012.

Parker alleged in her lawsuit that Oren and Alon offered her and her friend ecstasy one night in 2012, but they refused. Parker’s friend then left the apartment after allegedly being groped and hit on by Alon, the lawsuit says, but Parker stayed. She claimed she was then raped by Tal and Alon “despite her very clear verbal protests.”

On another occasion years later, the prosecution said, Tal “barged in” on Parker while she was alone in a room and attempted to rape her. Parker allegedly thwarted his attempt by screaming.

The lawsuit further alleged that Parker had several interactions with the brothers after her rape because of the overlap in their circle of friends. The brothers allegedly called her the “King’s Rat” to their friends.

“I have little doubt that, given my close relationship with my brothers, at some point a lawyer or many lawyers will seek to implicate me in the allegations against Alon and Oren,” Tal reportedly wrote in an email to colleagues on June 16, shortly before Parker filed her lawsuit, The Daily Beast previously reported.

Oren had previously written in a now-deleted Instagram post that he was “confident that through review of the extensive evidence, including text messages and other means of communication, the truth will emerge.”

Alon’s lawyer Isabelle Kirshner had previously Wall Street Journal “Our preliminary investigation into the allegations has revealed clear and irrefutable evidence that exonerates the Alexanders and which we are happy to present in court.”

Editor’s note: The headline of this article has been changed to make it clear that Alexander plans to take a temporary leave of absence.
