Former metro Atlanta cheerleading coach arrested on child sex abuse charges, police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A former metro Atlanta cheerleading coach has been arrested on child sex abuse charges, according to the Loganville Police Department.

Loganville police said Charles Moore was arrested on May 27 for sexual exploitation of a minor and providing obscene material to a minor, following an investigation they conducted.

Loganville police said they also conducted a joint investigation with the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office, which resulted in a second arrest of Moore on Tuesday for sexual exploitation of a minor.

Police said Moore was a former cheerleading coach “for several local gyms in the metro Atlanta area.” They did not specify which rooms these were.

The police department is asking anyone who believes they are a victim in this case, or knows someone who is, to contact their Criminal Investigation Division at (770) 466-8087. They said any information would remain confidential.
