LA man arrested for murder of woman he was dating in Long Beach – Press Telegram

LONG BEACH – A Los Angeles man was taken into custody Tuesday on suspicion of murdering a woman he was dating in Long Beach, authorities said.

Timothy Campbell, 35, was arrested Monday in connection with the shooting death of 43-year-old Myriam Zaragoza. According to Long Beach police, the woman was found injured in the 2300 block of Locust Avenue around 3:25 p.m. on June 19.

She died at the scene of the accident.

Campbell was arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held on $2 million bail, according to the LBPD and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“Investigators concluded that the victim and suspect were in a relationship,” police said in a statement. “The motive remains under investigation; however, it is believed that the incident was one of domestic violence.”

Detectives will submit the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for review.
