13-year-old girl raped by five men | News from Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 13-year-old girl was raped by five people on separate occasions over the past few months, police said. The incident came to light on Monday after the girl felt ill and it was later discovered that she was pregnant. Kacheguda police registered a case of gang rape. The girl was taken to a Bharosa centre for medical examination and further treatment. Four of the five accused have been taken into custody and one of them is on the run, the cops said. According to police, the accused belong to Neredmet and the girl was taken to them and raped there. The case has been transferred to Neredmet police station. The girl’s father passed away long ago and her mother works as a domestic help. A few months ago, the girl met one of the accused through a neighbour. He lured her on the pretext of love and started taking her out. One day, he took her to his house and raped her, police claim. His friends, who came to know about it, started blackmailing her. The friends also raped her several times. Following a complaint from the girl’s mother, the police launched an investigation.
