The scammers use a fake city-related phone number

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are warning residents about scammers posing as police officers in phone calls.

The scammers contact people by phone and say that they are being investigated.

According to SAPD, the fraudsters demand payment to complete the investigation.

If you may have been scammed, call SAPD’s non-emergency number at 210-207-7273.
