Shot fired at busy intersection in Plaza Midwood after suspected road rage incident

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is investigating after someone fired a gun through the windshield of a vehicle following an alleged incident of roadside aggression in broad daylight at a busy intersection in Plaza Midwood.

According to a CMPD police report, the shooting was reported shortly before 3 p.m. on Monday, June 24, at the intersection of Central and Pecan Avenues.

One person was injured in the shooting and taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
