Man arrested with knife after attempting to take down Free Palestine Movement flag in Victorville – VVNG.com

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – On Sunday, January 23, 2024, an incident involving the “Free Palestine” flag in Victorville resulted in the arrest of a 56-year-old man from Amargosa Valley, NV.

Officers responded around 12:32 p.m. to reports that a man was attempting to remove the flag near Bear Valley Road and the I-15 Freeway North.

The person identified as Lance Jaegerwas observed cutting the flag with a large, fixed-blade knife. Witnesses reported that Jaeger walked around passersby with the knife in his hand.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Jaeger in the street pointing the knife at several people on the sidewalk. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon under PC 245(A)(1).
